Repairs
What we repair, and what we tell you first
Heating and cooling for houses, condos and villas. We work on the common makes and we tell you which we don't.
Cooling repair
Warm air, a unit that won't start, ice on the lines, water where it shouldn't be.
We ask what you've noticed before we arrive
We read the system before we touch it
You get the price in writing first
Heat and heat strips
Heat pumps, heat strips and furnaces for the few cold mornings we get.
We test heat before the first cold front
We check the breaker and the strips
Drain lines and damp
Water by the air handler, a musty smell, a pan that keeps filling.
We clear and flush the line
We look at the coil and the pan
Thermostats and filters
We replace a thermostat with one you can read, and we show you how to use it.
Large numbers and plain menus
We write down your settings

Questions about repairs
What does a repair visit cost?
We tell you the visit fee when you book, and the price of any repair in writing before we start.
Do you work on every brand?
We work on the common residential makes. If yours is one we don't, we'll say so on the phone.
Can you look at the whole system?
Yes, that's the plan's ten-point check. You can also book it once without joining.
What should I do first if it stops cooling?
Check the thermostat is on cool and the filter isn't clogged, then call. Don't keep running a unit that's iced or leaking.
Not sure what it is?
Tell us what you're seeing and hearing. We'll say whether it can wait.
